Story Of The Day at 12:21 AM

credits: TamaHaruu

As she woke up from an unwanted dream, she grab hold of her iPod, checking the time. It was only 8:00 am at a bright, and sunny Saturday morning. Closing her eyes, attempting to fall right back to sleep, she heard the sound of her family's call, there's no time to regain that lose of sleep. Just like every Saturday morning, the house is a chaos, getting ready and awake for church. Although many dress up formally for church, she does not. She could care less about it, she is after all an atheist. This weekly routine, she had already learned to adapt to, though she misses those times when she could just wake up and attend her sister's piano and guitar lessons.

Waiting impatiently to leave the house, she laid herself down on the beige colored couch. There, she fell asleep, amazed by how the family ended up skipping a day of church. The reason: getting ready for a picnic. Unaware of this event, she decided to go-with-the-flow, not like she can easily decline.

Reaching the park just past noon, she flopped right on the green grass, absorbing the sun. Her quietness around the family is always the issue. Not that she doesn't like this particular family, just that she is not comfortable with them. Passing time with her older cousin's Canon camera, her younger cousin called her, wanting to play pass with a football. Unlike many girls, she is apparently manly, since she have many home habits that are very unladylike, which in this case involves playing rough football while wearing ballet flats.

After soaking up the sun in the park, they have finally decided to hit the mall, a place she is much more comfortable with. Wandering around as her cousins decided to buy frappuccinos, she witnessed a lovely young couple about to make a vow to live together eternally in the indoor skating rink; The Ice Palace. Yes, in fact, not only the bride and groom were in skates, but also the bridesmaids and bestmen. An unusual sight, but also an interesting one.

Spending most of the day in the mall, she puzzled over on question: When was the last time she hung out with her 'sister' in the mall? The answer: too long ago. The sub-question: Will she ever spend time with her 'sister' just like before? The answer: most likely not.
