The End. at 12:17 AM

Me, speaking. Honestly, I never did finish watching this anime (didn't read the manga), and while I go on with this post, hopefully there's an understanding to why I chose pictures from "Nana".

Nana and Hachi (if the storyline is familar, both of their names is Nana, however due to the confusion Nana decides to call the other Hachi *a common name for a pet dog, also meaning the number 8 in Japanese).  Humorously enough, due to their personalities of being "cheap a$$es", they decided to move in together where both pay half of the rent. Ironically enough, another story about two girls named Sora and Nina, have that similar characteristic ㅋ, just giving off a sense of humor, I decided to mention that. However, and ironically, there's countless similarities between these two characters.

Nana - Sora.
In reality, Nina seems more of the "cool" type, but honestly, I see more of a similarity between Nana and Sora. Nana and Hachi met at the moment where they were trying to pursue their dreams in Tokyo. Nana's reason for moving to Tokyo was similar to Sora, to pursue their career. While on their ways to do so, they ran into a new friend. For Nana was Hachi, and for Sora was Nina. In the story of Nana, Nana has a tough punk look, however as the story progresses Hachi finds out that Nana has a kind and caring heart, and is a devoted friend. Nana became like this, because in the past, she did not have that many friends. Similar to Sora, where she herself did not grow up with that many friends which made her more devoted to friendships. Both Sora and Nana are possessive with people; wanting them to be in their own "backyard". Nana isn't big into fashion, especially when compared to Hachi. Sora isn't so big into fashion, especially when she's compared with Nina. However, Hachi still compliments Nana as being gorgeous and naturally beautiful. And ironically enough, Nina does the same thing for Sora.

Hachi - Nina.
In the story Hachi falls in and out of love constantly. Nana decides to name her as "Hachi" because Nana sees her as a dog, where she would run off but like an obedient dog, would eventually return home. Like Nina, she falls in love and out of love but like a dog, she would always run back to home, where Sora would wait for her. In the story, Hachi decides to move to Tokyo to follow her boyfriend at the time, although, there is no recorded history for that happening in the story of Nina and Sora, it just seemed important? Hachi has no particular big dream for career, however, she was good at arts but never really pursued herself to make it big. Sounds familiar? Always, Hachi is usually the fashionable one, always having the cutest and nicest~prettiest~ clothes and being all dressed up etc. In which, is similar to the other character, Nina. Both Nina and Hachi show care towards others, more than Nana and Sora at least.

Together. Sora + Nina. Nana + Hachi.
In the story of Nana; both Nana and Hachi barely knew each other, but that didn't stop them from moving in together. And while leaving together they learn to understand each other as their friendship grew. Like in the other story, where Sora and Nina, also, barely knew each other, but they decided to move in together because it seemed "fun" and an "enjoyable" experience. Which in doubt, it was. And as the days they had together passed, their friendship grew.
As both stories progress, Nana and Hachi begin to seperate. At first Hachi became too busy and was always out with her love life. While Nana, eventually, became busy due to her band. Where I'm at in the other story, is where Nina begins to have love lifes, and Sora begins to focus on her education for her future career. Although, in the story of Nina and Sora, they no longer live together, they've already seperated, but because of the separation they always begin to drift apart. Even though, Hachi would always leave for her love life, Nana knew that she will eventually return back to her. Sora knows, that even if Nina was to leave for anything really, she knew that Nina would return. Nana would wait. And Sora would wait. For Hachi to return. And for Nina to return.

A Predicted Ending.
However the story of Nina and Sora have no ending. The story for Hachi and Nana does. In the end, Nana unexpectedly leaves. And like a dog, Nana continues to search for her owner praying that she wasn't dead. Nana never returned.

Dear Nina,
I think I found the ending. The ending to our story. But, I don't like it, and at the same time, I don't think we can change it. Nana and Hachi believed that they would be friends forever... or at least a very long time. They promised. I'm debating whether to warn you when I leave or not... Although you tell me that you'll never leave me, that doesn't mean I'll always wait. 'Cause, I'm not sure how much longer I can stay here. I know I once said that I'll stay until you let me go, but I always said... to always move forward, which I can't do. Because if I do... then when you return, I worry that you'd get lost. I know, you'd try to look for me again, but I can't guarantee that you'll ever find me. Because sooner or later, I'll fly up to the skies full of clouds, and never return.
- Sora
"Pst. True or Dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you... To Let Me Go."
